An iPod dock and speaker combo needs to fill a few separate functions. First, they need to be an easy method of piping your iPod or iPhone tunes out of a decent set of speakers. Second, it needs to provide an easy method of charging your iPod or iPhone. Anything else is just gravy, but usually, companies looking to release an iPod dock at least put in an alarm function.

My inbox was crazy last week during CES and as I was cleaning it out early this morning I saw an email from the Zune PR team talking about some updates coming soon. Microsoft was actually showing off demos of this at CES, but my schedule was already packed so I didn’t get a chance to see these new features.
